The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE) — one of India’s toughest and most respected exams — to recruit officers for roles like IAS, IPS, IFS, and other top Group A and B services. The exam happens in three stages: Prelims, Mains, and the Interview (Personality Test). Based on performance across all three stages, candidates are ranked, and services are allotted accordingly.
