He has attended Vidya Vihar Residential School till high school and after that he moved to Jharkhand for higher studies to complete his senior education at Chinmaya Vidyalaya till 12th and Shubham Kumar IAS Topper has earned his B.tech in Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2014.During his graduation in IIT Bombay, he was a very active student and used to play various sports with full efforts. Shubham Kumar was a brilliant student since childhood and he always performed well in his studies and IAS Topper Shubham was born in Kumheri village, Bihar, and Shubham’s father works as a manager at Bank and Shubham’s mother  is a homemaker. Shubham Kumar IAS Topper has an elder sister who is a scientist at Bhabha Atomic Research Center and he has graduated from IIT Bombay in B.Tech in civil Engineering. Shubham Kumar has had a clear aim since beginning to become an IAS Officer one day and In his first attempt in 2018 he could not clear the exam but in 2019 he appeared for the second attempt in the UPSC civil service examination and got AIR- 290th rank and Shubham was selected in Indian Defense Accounts Service(IDAS) as he was a trainee at the National Academy of Defense Financial Management Institute Pune, but he again appeared for the third attempt for the UPSC CSE.
