Renu Raj IAS Topper was a bright student from childhood and if we talk about her Journey in UPSC , She used to read newspapers and journals to learn the basics during her internship of MBBS. After that, she slowly started studying the syllabus. She studied for 6-7 months during her practice. Once she had the basic foundation for the exam, she decided to study full-time. She studied for 7-8 hours per day. After the main exams, she started practicing again, so she had to reduce her study to 3-4 hours per day. She read a lot during her travels. According to Renu Raj, the amount of study time is not important as long as the quality of study is done within a short period of time. She believes that all UPSC aspirants should learn to form their own opinions on everything and also learn the skill of expressing them in a polite manner.
