While preparing for the IAS exam, Saumya Sharma faced many challenges and struggles with dealing with her health while studying for long hours was a big challenge, instances where she had to study for 17 to 18 hours to push herself to the limit physically and mentally  and her rigorous study schedule sometimes took its toll on her health, causing fatigue and stress.

Another challenge is balancing her academic responsibilities with her UPSC preparations as when she was in her final year of law school and had to participate in classes, complete assignments, and spend ample time preparing for civil service exams and it required a systematic care of her time management skills to ensure she covers all important topics and stays on track with her studies.

In addition, the pressure to do well on the test compounded the challenges and UPSC exam is known for its competitive nature and rigorous selection process, which can be tough for the candidates and she had to stay focused, stay motivated and always strive to perform in this pressure.

Despite these challenges, Saumya Sharma’s determination, resilience and hard work enabled her to overcome her obstacles and succeed in the UPSC and her journey is an inspiration to others, who are facing similar challenges, showing the importance of perseverance and dedication in the pursuit of their goals
