Shreyans Kumat not only fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS officer but also secured AIR – 4 in 2018. He not only cleared the exam but also this was his first attempt at CSE. While travelling and exploring, he met various government officials, and these interactions sparked his interest in public services and his grandfather was a former IAS officer, and always wished for him to pursue his goals. Education of  Shreyans Kumat

Shreyans Kumat has finished most of his early schooling in Kishangarh and completed Class 10 at Ajmer’s Mayoor School and scored 94.2%; in class 12 he scored 92.2%. After that, he completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B), where he scored 8.41c.

Before appearing for the Civil Services Exam, he had worked with Ernst & Young (EY) as a Management Consultant for about two years, in the Rajasthan city of Ajmer. During his second year at the Company, Shreyans started thinking about getting prepared and applying for the UPSC exams. Also, he had attended various courses like Good Governance Yatar (GGY), Vippasanna, etc.

Shreyans kumat has cleared IIT-JEE, also, in his first attempt, and he secured AIR 344 rank in IIT, then taken admission in IIT Bombay, where he did his graduation in B.tech Mechanical Engineering.

Shreyans Kumat was born in Kishangarh, in Ajmer, Rajasthan and his grandfather was always keen and wanted him to become an IAS officer but he wanted to become an engineer. So After completing his primary education until 10th grade, he took science in 11th grade and then he went to Kota to prepare for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for two years and got IIT-B (IIT Bombay).In the beginning, one should start his or her preparation by analysing one’s strengths and weaknesses. He was not good at memorising therefore would need more time to do the revision. So he planned his studies accordingly. Shreyans started preparing in June 2017. He finished his first reading for optional subjects as well as General studies from standard books till December 2017.

For the UPSC Mains examination  Shreyans Kumat practised the past five-year paper of the UPSC. And referring to those answers key, which are provided by the UPSC, so that one can get an idea of how to present an answer and what examiners are looking for. He claims that every aspirant should give tests during the timing of the actual exam, just to maximise their concentration and efficiency during the time of the exam.
